Sam DeStefano arrested after fight with reporter, threatens his family (1961)
Samuel DeStefano attacked Chicago Tribune reporter William Doherty after a piece in the Tribune that Doherty had written. DeStefano pointed a gun at Doherty, threatened to kill him, broke out the windows in Doherty's parked car, and threatened Doherty's family.
DeStefano was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, assault with intent to kill, and malicious mischief.
